Questions?

What career services does Columbia Business School offer?

With an MBA from Columbia, your career prospects multiply exponentially. Students begin the transformation of their professional life with a visit to the Career Management Center.

The CMC is here to help connect you with opportunities, from internships to full-time employment, and provide guidance throughout the cycles of your career.

What is the Deferred Enrollment Program?

The Columbia Business School Deferred Enrollment Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to gain a few years of work experience with a guarantee of admission to Columbia's highly selective MBA program, and the flexibility to begin the MBA program two to five years after college graduation.

What are the application requirements?

As part of your online application to the MBA, you will need to provide:

  • Columbia Business School online application
  • Transcripts from each college and university attended as a registered student in a degree-granting program.
  • GPA
  • GMAT or GRE Score
  • One short answer question and three essays
  • Two letters of recommendation

Once your online application is complete and under review, you may be contacted by a member of the Admissions Office to schedule an interview.

What are the MBA options?

Columbia Business School students may enroll in either August or January. The two paths, each comprised of four terms, merge in the fall of the second year to complete electives as a single class.

The paths are identical in terms of competitiveness of admissions, academic rigor, and student resources, but they differ in terms of timing and the opportunity to complete a summer internship. Columbia Business School also offers a Deferred Enrollment Program for undergraduate students.

When is the Manhattanville campus opening?

The Manhattanville campus will open in January 20, 2022 when all MBA students will have the ability to take advantage of this state of the art facility. We invite you to explore more about Manhattanville and the many opportunities that await you as an MBA student.

After submitting my application, when will I receive a decision?

Columbia Business School uses rolling admissions. The Admissions Office will begin reviewing January-entry applications and August-entry Early Decision applications once all required materials have been received.

Our goal is either to invite for an interview or deny admission within six weeks of receiving a completed application. Our goal for interviewed applicants is to render a final decision within two weeks of the interview report being completed.
